AIRDS COMMUNITY SPIRIT NOT DAMPENED BY RAIN
Sydney, 21 October 2005

More than 120 people braved the rain to attend the Family Fun Day held in conjunction with Rugby in the Park at Airds High School yesterday.

Organised by Airds Community Workers and university student volunteers, the fun day aimed to showcase the new after-school program to local families. The afternoon's entertainment included a clown, face painting and games.  Fabulous prizes including a bike were handed out during the afternoon.

Rugby in the Park Youth Leaders were presented with their uniforms by representatives of Macquarie Bank Sports and NSW Rugby Union.

As the weather cleared, children were able to spend time on the Park with Macquarie Bank Sports Pauliasi Taumoepeau, an Australian representative and Waratah Academy member.
