"They went from swearing at me to respecting me, and that's a big change.  I've earned their respect, and they've earned mine."   Claymore program Youth Coach commenting on the ways the participants had changed as a result of taking part in Rugby in the Park.

Rugby in the Park Claymore is supported by Eagle Vale High School.  Twelve EVH high school students volunteered to become Coach/Mentors in 2005.  Each week local children enjoyed the activities, camaraderie and sausage sizzle. Nearly 70% of children attending the program in Claymore in 2005 stated they were inactive after school, with watching TV and playing Playstation and doing nothing as their regular after school activities.  Of those 65% became regular participants!
